Where were you 15 years ago?
Many of us remember critical dates and exactly what we were doing at the that very moment when events occur that have an impact on society.
For some it maybe when we lost Elvis Presley or Princess Diana and many of us know exactly where we were when the disaster hit the World Trade Centre in New York City.
Important dates are milestones in our personal and business lives.
Do you remember when Windows 95 came out? It was a very important time in the IT and technology communities. Windows 95 changed the way many businesses used computers and it also introduced a brand new way of doing business. Email, web browsing, fast corporate networks and collaboration were now crucial parts of business success.
We still remember installing Windows 95 on our first computer from the 13 floppy disks that it came on. Eventually we were lucky enough to get our hands on the CD version which really helped speed up the installation. Yes, the good ole days of installing computer operating systems from floppy disks or CD-ROMs. Plus the number of many selections we had to make really didn’t allow us to work on more than two or three at a time.
Times have changed.
Windows 95 really turned the corner in making computing affordable for all business and especially for business here in Brantford. With Windows 95 we saw more computers showing throughout Brantford homes and many of our clients started to invest in technology, enabling their business to do some pretty cool things.
Today, business simply cannot run efficiently without technology. We have Windows and IT everywhere. On our desktops, laptops and even on our telephones. Technology is simply a part of our day-to-day lives here in Brantford. Without, we believe we would be lost.
It is great to see how far technology has come in the past 15 years and we are really looking forward to what the next 15 years has to offer.
